What can Juvaderm be used for?

Make cheeks and cheekbones look younger and healthier. Increasing fat content in the face following loss of weight which have made cheeks become hollow.

Over time, natural fats begin to deteriorate, leading to sagging skin, more prominent wrinkles, and reduced volume. Juvederm ultra4, an injectable hyaluronic acid gel, is used to correct volume loss and treat facial wrinkles. Through non-surgical injections, Juvederm is specifically designed to increase the fullness of the cheeks and middle of the face to help you complete the aesthetic appearance of the face and hands.

Do not use if you have a history of severe allergies and severe reactions (allergic reactions), are allergic to lidocaine or gram-positive bacterial proteins used to make hyaluronic acid, are prone to bleeding, or have bleeding disorders. The safety of use during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been studied. If you have a history of scarring or hyperpigmentation, please tell your doctor because hyaluronic acid fillers may have these side effects. If you plan to have other cosmetic treatments (ie laser and chemical peels), please tell your doctor because there may be a risk of inflammation at the injection site.

If you are taking medications that lower the body's immune response or affect bleeding (such as aspirin or warfarin), tell your doctor because these medications may increase the risk of bruising or bleeding at the gel injection site. The use of these products on skin ulcers, papules, rashes, hives, cysts, or infected gel injection sites should be postponed until healing is complete.

The most common side effects are swelling, redness, pain, bruising, headache, tenderness, lump formation, itching at the injection site, and impaired hand function. Serious but rare side effects include delayed infection, recurrence of herpes, and superficial necrosis at the injection site. The risk of unintentional injection into the blood vessel is small, but it may occur and may cause serious complications. These complications may be permanent, including abnormal vision, blindness, stroke, temporary scabs, or permanent skin scars.
